The Atebubu-Amantin assembly has awarded contracts for the rehabilitation and construction of a number of facilities across the municipality to boost development.

The contracts cut across education, water, health and administration.

This was disclosed by the municipal chief executive Hon. Masud Musah Ayarba Thomas at the third ordinary meeting of the assembly in Atebubu.

“I am happy to announce to you that during the quarter, the assembly successfully awarded 12 contracts for the construction of key facilities across the municipality. These projects were awarded in full compliance with the public procurement laws ensuring transparency and value for money” he said.

The projects include: the rehabilitation and furnishing of the assembly hall, rehabilitation of the assembly bock as well as its warehouse all in Atebubu.

The Paul Adunia basic school in Atebubu will benefit from the construction and furnishing of a kindergarten block whiles the English and Arabic school in Amantin will receive a furnished 3 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities with the Bresuano community getting a furnished 6 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities to boost education.

The Masuo 44 and Sabidi communities will benefit from CHPS compounds whiles the existing Nyomoase CHPS compound will get a laboratory and maternity ward to facilitate its upgrade into a clinic.

To help curb the perennial water crisis faced by people in the municipality, the assembly will construct a total of fifteen boreholes at different locations in the municipality as a temporary measure even as it continues to engage the Community Water and Sanitation Agency for a lasting solution to the problem.

Some of the projects have already taken off and at different levels of completion whiles others will be executed in 2026.
