The Atebubu-Amantin municipal chief executive Hon. Thomas Masud Musah Ayaaba has inaugurated a 9 member Public Relations and Complaints Committee of the assembly in Atebubu.

Describing the PRCC’s work as very key to the success of the assembly, the MCE expressed confidence in the capabilities of its membership and pledged the support of his office to the committee.

Hon. Ayaaba administered the oaths of office, allegiance and secrecy to members of the committee.

A deputy director at the assembly Mr. Godwin Gyamerah took members through the purview of the committee in accordance to sections 26 and 27 of the Local Government Act 936 of 2016.

The Presiding Member of the assembly Hon. Yahaya Dindiok who is the chairman asked members to put their shoulders to the wheel to ensure the success of the committee.

Members deliberated on a number of issues that will feed into a work plan to guide the activities of the committee.

The committee comprises 6 assembly members and one each from the National Commission for Civic Education, the Information Services Department and Civil Society Organizations.
