The Atebubu-Amantin Municipality marked Ghana’s 68th Independence Day on March 6, 2025, with vibrant student parades, cultural performances, and reflections on national progress. The event at Atebubu Anglican Primary School Park brought together schools, security services, and local leaders under this year’s theme of “Reflect, Review, and Reset.”
The parade brought together 15 contingents from 6 primary schools, 6 JHS, and 3 SHS cadet corps performed drills under the command of GNFS Station Officer III Zakaria Kabore. Excel School Complex (Primary), ASEC Model (JHS), and New Kokrompe (SHS) won top honors in their categories with Traditional dances and poetry recitals added color to the celebration.
Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Joseph Tang, representing the MCE, emphasized Cataloging Ghana’s successes in education, health, and infrastructure as a blueprint for future progress. The need to document policy flaws for better implementation. Government’s commitment to improving educational resources for national development.
In attendace were Nana Ofori Yeboah (Twafohene of Atebubu) chaired the event. Attendees included Education Director Isaac Budu, Divisional Police Commander CS Caezar Abanga, and traditional leaders.
The celebration blended patriotism with critical reflection—urging unity to address socio-economic challenges while celebrating Ghana’s resilience since independence.
