In a decisive vote on May 6, 2025, the Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Assembly confirmed Mr. Thomas Masud Musah Ayaaba as Municipal Chief Executive, with the chartered accountant receiving 42 out of 44 votes (95.5%). The confirmation followed the earlier election of Hon. Yahaya Dindiok as Presiding Member.
Mr. Ayaaba thanked President Akufo-Addo for the nomination and pledged to accelerate municipal development. Celebrations featuring traditional drumming and dancing ensued after the vote.
The dignitaries present were Hon. Sanja Nanja (MP for Atebubu-Amantin), Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi (Bono East Regional Minister), Mr. Unas Owusu (NDC Regional Chairman), Traditional leaders and security officials.
The confirmation marks a new chapter for the municipality, with the assembly now fully constituted after previously operating without a Presiding Member since February 2024.
