In his first official engagement since confirmation, Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Thomas Masud Musa Ayaaba paid a courtesy call on the Amantin Traditional Council on May 26, 2025. The visit sought to strengthen ties between local governance and traditional leadership while addressing pressing community issues.

The MCE’s pledged his commitment to prioritize education, agriculture, and sanitation. Further promised equitable distribution of development projects. He recalled his childhood roots in the area: “Having grown up here, I understand our challenges firsthand”.

Osabarima Appau Bonsie Bonsu II (Omanhene) urged Fairness in resource allocation, Continued loyalty to party executives, Resolution of critical infrastructure issues.

Some community members present raised concerns on mounting refuse disposal challenges, erratic power supply from overloaded transformers, delays in World Bank-funded bridge project.

Some notable members present were NDC constituency executives, Senior municipal assembly officials and Traditional council leaders.

The meeting marks a crucial step in fostering collaboration between the new administration and traditional authorities for grassroots development.
